AM-Tutoring provides individualized one-one-one tutoring to students at the elementary, middle, and high school level usually in one-hour weekly sessions conducted at your home or suitable meeting place, such as an area library.  Sessions include a written report to the student and parent providing a summary of the session, such as subjects and assignments covered, and an analysis of strategies for future sessions.  Sessions can target specific content areas, such as math or English, or particular skills, such as test taking strategies and organization.  All tutors have earned Pennsylvania teacher’s certification (or are working towards it), and many have at least a decade of teaching experience.

Other than these basic guidelines, services are tailored to each student’s individual needs.  Some students meet once per week, others multiple times.  Some students receive support in only one subject area, others devote all tutoring to skill development, and many more some sort of combination.  The program is created and grows out of input from all stakeholders—student, parent, tutor, and Alyssa.
